  • The 1937 Packard Twelve Convertible Sedan featured here is finished in the stunning color combination of Buckingham Gray over a red leather interior and beige folding convertible top. This 15th Series Packard Twelve was reputedly sold new through the Packard Westchester Company of White Plains, New York, in June 1936. More recently, this 1508 Convertible Sedan was subjected to an extensive restoration performed with meticulous attention to detail by noted marque specialist Ray Belsito of Massachusetts. The adornment of a Classic Car Club of America (CCCA) National first prize on the cowl serves as a testament to the rarity of this motorcar and the quality of its restoration. As a CCCA Full Classic, this Model 1508 Packard Twelve would be a welcome addition at a future CCCA event or caravan and will certainly bring years of enjoyment to its future caretaker. We are proud to offer this outstanding 1937 Packard Twelve Convertible Sedan to the most astute collector or investor who appreciates CCCA nationally awarded motorcars and the legacy of the Packard marque. Ready to make an investment that you can actually enjoy? Classic cars have proven to be among the most resilient and rewarding investments in recent years with the Historic Automobile Group Index (HAGI) jumping 39% in 2013, 16% in 2014 and 17% in 2015 while posting gains of 467% over the last 10 years. HISTORY OF THE 1937 PACKARD TWELVE CONVERTIBLE SEDAN
1937 was a big year for Packard. The company was continuing its philosophy of a car for every class, and customers had an incredible 50 different models to choose from. Packard would sell an astounding 109,518 cars during 1937, 90% of which were either the 115 6-cylinder or 120 8-cylinder models. The Packard Twelve continued to be the top model in luxury, speed and style with the 473ci V12 engine pushing 180 horsepower courtesy of improved carburation. Only 1,300 Twelve chassis were constructed for the 1937 model year which was the last year the Twelve was offered on the imposing 144” wheelbase chassis. A dozen different configurations allowed Packard to produce a Twelve that served the needs of the most discerning clientele. Packard’s most expense factory production offering for 1937 was body style 1073, the model 1508 Convertible Sedan. With a factory price of $4,650 (the equivalent of over $81,000 today), the Twelve Convertible Sedan was only available to the most discerning clientele. An incredible combination of luxury and performance that could only come from Packard; this model proves to be extremely desirable among collectors with examples few and far between.

    Financing

Finance rates as low as 5.9%.

We know that classic car financing can pose a unique challenge. Although a vintage or exotic car can be an excellent investment, some financial institutions attempt to apply standard “used car” rules for financing a classic car, which in many cases can make loan approval difficult.

We work closely with many banking institutions that understand and recognize the collector value of classic cars and view them as an investment, which allows us to help you get the financing you need so that you can have the car you have dreamed of.

Terms available up to 144 Months
