  • The magnificent 1940 Lincoln Zephyr 2-Passenger Coupe featured here is finished in stunning Zephyr Blue over a Beige Mohair interior. This exquisite Zephyr has had only Two Owners from new and has been meticulously maintained for its entire lifetime, making it what we believe to be one of the finest, most original examples to come to market in years. A recent comprehensive serviced by marque specialists was performed in 2022 and included a complete engine rebuild as well as new exhaust, new tires and brakes. We are proud to offer this investment-grade Zephyr to the most demanding collector, investor, or enthusiast who aspires to own one of the most original Zephyr coupes on the planet! I personally believe the investment potential of this iconic American classic will grow beyond your imagination!

    Model History:
The original Lincoln-Zephyr was introduced in late 1935 as a 1936 model, combining the aerodynamic efficiency of streamlined styling with an early form of unit body construction that reduced weight while enhancing rigidity. A style leader from the beginning, the original Zephyr featured a tall, prow-like grille for its first two years. A new nose appeared on the 1938 Zephyr, featuring a low-mounted, horizontal grille that left a lasting impression on automotive designers for years to come, with many American cars mimicking the late-’30s Zephyr front end by the 1940s.

As for Lincoln, 1940 was a transitional year for the brand, with the new and very exclusive Continental, based on the Zephyr chassis, went into production just as the last of the huge Lincoln Model K super-luxury cars were delivered. Meanwhile, the 1940 Lincoln-Zephyr was a clean, beautifully detailed car. While it appeared be a simple evolution of the 1939 cars, the 1940 Zephyrs were, in fact, essentially an all-new design. Now in its second generation, the Zephyr and its V12 was wrapped in stunning bodywork that features a similar frontal design introduced to the 1938 model, though the new low grille was larger and the headlamps mounted in the fenders. At the rear, the dramatic taper of earlier Zephyr bodies was replaced by a larger, more “full”-looking design that allowed for wider rear seats (on models so equipped) and increased luggage space.

    Financing

Finance rates as low as 8.9%.

We know that classic car financing can pose a unique challenge. Although a vintage or exotic car can be an excellent investment, some financial institutions attempt to apply standard “used car” rules for financing a classic car, which in many cases can make loan approval difficult.

We work closely with many banking institutions that understand and recognize the collector value of classic cars and view them as an investment, which allows us to help you get the financing you need so that you can have the car you have dreamed of.

Terms available up to 144 Months
