HISTORY OF THE CADILLAC SERIES 62
For 1960 Cadillac began to refine some of the styling touches that made the 1959 models so iconic. Designer Ed Taylor continued the “jet plane styling” however the rear fins were shortened, but still tall enough to leave an impression. The fins also housed lighting strips with larger tail lights placed within chrome ovals at the ends of the rear bumper. On the front end, the grille was restyled and a smaller, more streamlined front bumper was fitted. The front fenders now held the addition of turn signal indicators for safety and on the interior the instrument panel was redesigned for simplicity. An incredible amount of accessories and options were available from the factory including air-conditioning, 6-way power seat and cruise control –a production first for Cadillac. With all these innovations and lavish features it came as no surprise that Car Life magazine selected the 1960 Cadillac as the “best buy in the luxury field.” For the Series 62 Cadillac offered a model for every style and family including the popular 4-door six window sedan, a 4-door four window sedan, the 2-door hardtop coupe and the stylish 2-door convertible; the most expensive of the 62 Series with a base price of $5,455. Today the 1960 Series 62 Cadillac Convertible is a cherished model by collectors and enthusiasts with highly optioned examples proving to be the most desirable.

    Financing

Finance rates as low as 5.9%.

We know that classic car financing can pose a unique challenge. Although a vintage or exotic car can be an excellent investment, some financial institutions attempt to apply standard “used car” rules for financing a classic car, which in many cases can make loan approval difficult.

We work closely with many banking institutions that understand and recognize the collector value of classic cars and view them as an investment, which allows us to help you get the financing you need so that you can have the car you have dreamed of.

Terms available up to 144 Months
