From the time of its introduction in 1959 there was, simply put, no other automobile quite like the Rolls-Royce Phantom V. While other luxury manufacturers continued to produce limousines, the Phantom V was the last vestige of old-world craftsmanship, including its availability as a bare chassis for custom coachwork—provided that one could find a custom coachbuilder.

Phantom V bodies were exclusively coach-built with H.J. Mulliner, Park Ward, and James Young providing a select number of tailored body styles to suit the likes of her majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the Shah of Iran and even legendary musician John Lennon. Only 516 Phantom V chassis were manufactured by Rolls-Royce up to 1968; 101 examples received the Touring Limousine design by James Young Coachwork and 53 were built with right-hand drive. With its exclusive styling and luxury, the James Young Touring Limousine Phantom V is widely regarded as one of the best Rolls-Royce designs.

The magnificent 1961 Rolls-Royce Phantom V James Young Touring Limousine featured here is finished in stunning Queen’s Black Cherry over a beige leather and West of England cloth interior surrounded by magnificent burled walnut woodwork throughout. This rare and extremely desirable model was handcrafted by famed Rolls-Royce Coachbuilder James Young in one of the most desirable designs, PV22 seven-passenger touring limousine. Just released from a prominent private collection, this magnificent vehicle is now ready for its next caretaker. Beautifully restored to be shown or driven this 1961 Rolls-Royce Phantom V James Young Touring Limousine is among one of the nicest examples we have seen in decades. Offered to the most sophisticated investor, collector, enthusiast who understands and appreciates the rarity and best potential of this iconic motorcar.

For all of you who are not familiar, Rolls-Royce no longer exists as it has for the past hundred years; it is now owned by BMW and models are being mass-produced. The days of cars being handcrafted by artisans in Crewe are now just a fond memory. This particular car was built at a time when Rolls-Royce was truly building the world’s finest motorcars with the care and craftsmanship evident in every detail.

    Financing

Finance rates as low as 5.9%.

We know that classic car financing can pose a unique challenge. Although a vintage or exotic car can be an excellent investment, some financial institutions attempt to apply standard “used car” rules for financing a classic car, which in many cases can make loan approval difficult.

We work closely with many banking institutions that understand and recognize the collector value of classic cars and view them as an investment, which allows us to help you get the financing you need so that you can have the car you have dreamed of.

Terms available up to 144 Months
