  • The 1965 Mercedes-Benz 220SE Cabriolet featured here is finished in its stunning factory correct color combination of black with a matching black folding convertible top over a Natural Tan leather interior. This final model year 220SE’s only owner was a respected New York Doctor, who took delivery at the Stuttgart factory in March 1965. Though a slight patina is evident on some of its original trim, this example was subjected to a sympathetic restoration and currently presents wonderfully. It’s the perfect example to enjoy and will bring many years of enjoyment to its next caretaker. Ready to make an investment that you can actually enjoy? Classic cars have proven to be among the most resilient and rewarding investments in recent years with the Historic Automobile Group Index (HAGI) jumping 39% in 2013, 16% in 2014 and 17% in 2015 while posting gains of 467% over the last 10 years. Please contact one of our expert sales consultants for more information. They will be happy to give you a complete walk-around, supply you with a more detailed description and answer any questions you may have. Buy with confidence.

HISTORY OF THE MERCEDES-BENZ 220SE CABRIOLET
Mercedes-Benz’s elegant Paul Bracq-designed W111 made its debut in 1959 and was produced, in its many variations, through 1971. Among the most desirable variations were the two-door models—the Cabriolet and Coupe—which were expensive, virtually hand-built automobiles from the great tradition of German craftsmanship. The acres of wood trim throughout the interior were all genuine solid hardwood, accented by the gentle use of bright work; the leather upholstery was thick and comfortable; and both the ride quality and handling were (and continue to be) superb. The first W111 model was the 220 and its SE trim option featured a fuel injected inline six cylinder engine. The model proved to be immensely popular, with the most discerning individuals opting for the two door cabriolet version. Of the 82,988 W111 220SEs built, only 3% were two door cabriolets. Perhaps unsurprisingly, these cars became wildly popular among international socialites, and they were frequently seen cruising around in the world’s most posh destinations. The 220SE’s rarity, performance, handling, and craftsmanship are all blended perfectly into a design that has become iconic. It is no wonder why the W111 Cabriolet has become one of the most recognized classic Mercedes-Benz models sought by collectors today.

    Financing

Finance rates as low as 5.9%.

We know that classic car financing can pose a unique challenge. Although a vintage or exotic car can be an excellent investment, some financial institutions attempt to apply standard “used car” rules for financing a classic car, which in many cases can make loan approval difficult.

We work closely with many banking institutions that understand and recognize the collector value of classic cars and view them as an investment, which allows us to help you get the financing you need so that you can have the car you have dreamed of.

Terms available up to 144 Months
