  • Pontiac would introduce the second generation Grand Prix for the 1969 model year. A new 118” wheelbase frame saw new styling that featured a longer hood with an aggressive looking front end and a more subtle rear end. In turn, this gave the new Grand Prix a wider and lower appearance, broadening the appeal of the model. The interior was redesigned around the driver, giving a more cockpit feel with most controls within an easy reach. For 1970, the grille inserts were placed vertically, versus the horizontal slots of 1969 and the “Grand Prix” script was moved to the rear C-pillars from the bottoms of the front fenders making the name of the car more noticeable when passing traffic on the highway. The tail lamps were restyled and the door handles were recessed for a sleeker look. The performance SJ model was again the top of the line offering; the engine displacement increased from 428ci to 455ci with 370hp. This exclusive performance package was reserved for only approximately 5,500 1970 model Grand Prix’s. Today, SJ examples remain the most desirable by collectors and Pontiac enthusiasts alike with exceptional examples becoming exceedingly harder to procure.

The 1970 Pontiac Grand Prix SJ featured here is finished in its stunning factory correct color combination of Granada Gold over a beautiful black leather interior. This original California car has only had two owners from new. Displaying only 40,478 miles, this Pontiac Grand Prix SJ was beautifully maintained by its original owner until the early 2000’s. After a change of ownership, the second owner embarked on a no-expense-spared restoration, investing more than $60,000 to bring this classic and desirable Pontiac back to like new condition. Still powered by its numbers matching 370hp 455ci V8 engine, this Grand Prix SJ performs wonderfully and will certainly bring years of enjoyment on the road or the show scene. We are proud to offer this investment-grade 1970 Pontiac Grand Prix SJ to the most astute collector, investor, or enthusiast who desires only the best the market can offer. Classic cars have proven to be among the most resilient and rewarding investments in recent years with the Historic Automobile Group Index (HAGI) jumping 39% in 2013, 16% in 2014 and 17% in 2015 while posting gains of 467% over the last 10 years. Financing

Finance rates as low as 5.9%.

We know that classic car financing can pose a unique challenge. Although a vintage or exotic car can be an excellent investment, some financial institutions attempt to apply standard “used car” rules for financing a classic car, which in many cases can make loan approval difficult.

We work closely with many banking institutions that understand and recognize the collector value of classic cars and view them as an investment, which allows us to help you get the financing you need so that you can have the car you have dreamed of.

Terms available up to 144 Months
