  • In the late 1960s and early 1970s, Porsche’s 911 S was the model to have. In 1969, the wheelbase was extended by 2.5 inches, providing better balance and handling. With its engine output now increased to a more potent 180 hp, thanks to larger valves and better breathing, a larger 225-mm clutch was also required. Capable of accelerating to 62 mph in just over seven seconds, the 911 S could reach a top speed of over 145 mph. Few cars of its day were capable of producing similar performance figures, and the S was truly a thrill to drive for anyone lucky enough to sit behind the wheel.

The magnificent 1971 Porsche 911S 2.2 Targa featured here is finished in highly desired Silver Metallic over black leather interior with matching removable Targa top. This incredible motorcar has just been released from a private collection in California. It has been beautifully maintained and shown at local Concours events. Still retaining its original matching numbers engine, this investment-grade example would be the perfect addition to any premier collection. Accompanying this 1971 Porsche 911S 2.2 Targa are its owner’s manual, extensive service records, and Porsche Certificate of Authenticity. We are proud to offer this exceptional Porsche to the most demanding collector, investor, or enthusiast who understands and appreciates the investment potential of this great classic.

    Financing

Finance rates as low as 8.9%.

We know that classic car financing can pose a unique challenge. Although a vintage or exotic car can be an excellent investment, some financial institutions attempt to apply standard “used car” rules for financing a classic car, which in many cases can make loan approval difficult.

We work closely with many banking institutions that understand and recognize the collector value of classic cars and view them as an investment, which allows us to help you get the financing you need so that you can have the car you have dreamed of.

Terms available up to 144 Months
