  • Considered by many to be the most appealing of the T-series Triumphs, the TR-6 was first brought to market in 1968. While the TR-6 was heavily influenced by its predecessor, the new model was extensively restyled by Karmann. Triumph upgraded the suspension and added wider 15” wheels that resulted in a leaner look with a lower stance and improved handling. Power was derived from a 2.5 litre straight-6 with twin carburetors that provided over 100hp. A walnut wood dash held the instruments and front disc brakes were a standard feature. A joy to drive both then and now, the TR-6 very often ranks high on British sports car lists. Their iconic style and sporty characteristics appeal to some of the most discerning drivers and collectors today!

The spectacular 1972 Triumph TR-6 Roadster featured here is finished in the stunning factory color combination of Damson over a New Tan interior and black folding convertible top. This particular example was sold new in July 1972 by Trans-Atlantic Motors Inc. in Stanford, Connecticut and has been meticulously maintained and lovingly cared for by only two owners from new. Today the Triumph presents in spectacular condition while only 54,535 miles have accrued on the odometer! An excellent assortment of documentation accompanies the TR-6 includes the owner’s manual, copy of the Robert Bentley workshop manual, copy of the original vehicle invoice from the selling dealer, consumer information guide for 1972 model Triumphs, stereo instruction manual, original full tonneau cover (with the Triumph logo) and a selection of spare parts catalogs. The original numbers-matching 2.5-litre inline-6 cylinder engine is still in place and is documented by a copy of the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate. Simply put this is one of the best documented and lowest-mileage examples to be found on the market today and is sure to bring many years of enjoyment to its future caretaker. We are especially proud to offer this stunning Triumph TR-6 Roadster to the most astute collector, investor or enthusiast who appreciates the performance of these proper British sports cars. Classic cars have proven to be among the most resilient and rewarding investments in recent years with the Historic Automobile Group Index (HAGI) jumping 39% in 2013, 16% in 2014 and 17% in 2015 while posting gains of 467% over the last 10 years. Financing

Finance rates as low as 5.9%.

We know that classic car financing can pose a unique challenge. Although a vintage or exotic car can be an excellent investment, some financial institutions attempt to apply standard “used car” rules for financing a classic car, which in many cases can make loan approval difficult.

We work closely with many banking institutions that understand and recognize the collector value of classic cars and view them as an investment, which allows us to help you get the financing you need so that you can have the car you have dreamed of.

Terms available up to 144 Months
