Bid with confidence – you will not be disappointed in this truly magnificent Le Mans roadster! HISTORY OF THE 1952 NASH HEALEY: 140 bhp, 252 cu. in. Dual Jetfire inline six-cylinder engine, three-speed plus overdrive transmission, trailing link front suspension, live rear axle with semi-elliptic leaf springs, and four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes. Wheelbase: 102″ While sailing on the ocean liner the Queen Elizabeth, the president of Nash-Kelvinator Corporation – George Mason – had a chance encounter with British sports car builder, Donald Healey. Mason was looking for an image boost for his Nash motor cars. By the end of their trip, the two agreed to collaborate on a British-American hybrid sports car with Nash mechanicals. Nash sent drivetrains and other components to Healey facilities in England, where the rolling chassis was assembled. Then Pininfarina in Italy installed the body and completed assembly Nash-Healeys were quickly found on race tracks around the world. By the end of the car’s four-year production run, Nash-Healey convertibles and coupes had amassed an assortment of successful results in important motor sports events, including 9th at the 1950 Mille Miglia and 4th at Le Mans the same year. Pininfarina restyled the roadster body in 1952, with a lower, one piece windshield and rear fender bulges. Steel replaced aluminum bodywork, and a larger engine with dual carburetors and 15 more horsepower rounded out the Nash-Healey Le Mans Roadster package. The Nash-Healey named the “Le Mans” roadster following its successes at that legendary course. In fact in 1952 at 24 hours of Le Mans Nash Healy was first in its class, and 3rd overall, bested only by a Ferrari and a Talbot. Pininfarina restyled the roadster body in 1952, with a lower, one piece windshield and rear fender bulges. Steel replaced aluminum bodywork, and a larger engine with Carter carburetors and 15 more horsepower rounded out the Nash-Healey LeMans Roadster package. Nash sent drivetrains and other components to Healey facilities in England, where the rolling chassis was assembled. Then Pininfarina in Italy installed the body and completed assembly. The lovely example offered here, chassis number 2241 is one of the few roadsters built in 1952. It has benefited from a comprehensive frame-up restoration finished in a creamy white while the interior is upholstered in red leather. The convertible top bows are chrome plated and have a tan cloth convertible top affixed. The car has the correct Nash drive train fitted with twin SU carburetors and factory overdrive, including its original alloy head as fitted by Donald Healey. Additionally, it is fitted with wide white sidewall tires mounted on chrome wire wheels and an original set of side curtains. The car has been exhibited at a variety of shows. Notably, in 1984 the dash panel of the car was signed by Donald Healey himself! A fascinating piece of American and British history, this lovely Nash-Healey LeMans roadster would make an excellent addition to any collection

Financing

Finance rates as low as 8.9%.

We know that classic car financing can pose a unique challenge. Although a vintage or exotic car can be an excellent investment, some financial institutions attempt to apply standard “used car” rules for financing a classic car, which in many cases can make loan approval difficult.

We work closely with many banking institutions that understand and recognize the collector value of classic cars and view them as an investment, which allows us to help you get the financing you need so that you can have the car you have dreamed of.
