1967 GHIA 450 SS CONVERTIBLE
This 1967 Ghia 450 SS is practically the pinnacle of automotive exclusivity. Formerly the personal car of Robert E. Petersen, founder of Petersen Publishing Company, which for decades was America’s leading publisher of special-interest consumer magazines and books, including Motor Trend and Hot Rod. After amassing one of the most spectacular car collections in the world, Petersen donated a large part of his collection to establish one of the most revered automotive museums in the United States, the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. We just acquired this incredible car from the museum and now offer it here for sale. The styling of the Ghia 450 SS is truly inspired, penned by one of the all-time masters, Giorgetto Giugiaro. This incredible design was then hand-built by Italian coachbuilder, Ghia and married with the muscular drivetrain of the Plymouth Barracuda. When new, the 450SS was one of the most expensive cars in the world, on par with Ferraris and Lamborghinis of the time. However, the Ghia 450 SS was even a rarer commodity with only 52 examples ever built. Today only approximately 22 are believed to survive. With 1,424 miles since a complete nut and bolt restoration, we firmly believe this to be one of the finest Ghias in existence. Do not miss this opportunity to acquire one of the rarest, most beautiful designs even penned, and one that has proven itself as a rewarding investment. In fact, according to Knight Frank’s Wealth Report, classic cars were the top-performing collectible asset with prices surging 23-percent in the 12-months ending in the third quarter of 2012, and posting gains of 395-percent over 10-years. Please contact one of our expert sales consultants for more information on this gorgeous automobile. They will be happy to give you a complete walk-around, supply you with a more detailed description, and answer any questions you may have. Bid with confidence – for over 40 years Daniel Schmitt & Co. has built an unrivaled reputation by uniting the world’s finest motorcars with those who treasure them. BIOGRAPHY: Robert Einar “Pete” Petersen was an American publisher and founder of the Petersen Automotive Museum in 1994. Petersen was born in East Los Angeles, California and served in the Army Air Corps in World War II. Starting with Hot Rod Magazine in 1948, he built his publishing empire on automotive-themed publications, including Car Craft, Sports Car Graphic and Motor Trend. Financing

Finance rates as low as 5.9%.

We know that classic car financing can pose a unique challenge. Although a vintage or exotic car can be an excellent investment, some financial institutions attempt to apply standard “used car” rules for financing a classic car, which in many cases can make loan approval difficult.

We work closely with many banking institutions that understand and recognize the collector value of classic cars and view them as an investment, which allows us to help you get the financing you need so that you can have the car you have dreamed of.

Terms available up to 144 Months
